Lance Whorton, MSPT, MTC, CMTPT/DN, MDIV: Lance's passion is helping his patients not only alleviate their pain, but learn how to have long term results. While he treats all orthopedic injuries, his specialty is head neck and TMJ pain. Lance uses his advanced certifications in both Manual Therapy and Dry Needling to provide pain relief in a unique fashion that often provides quicker relief than more traditional therapies. In 2000, Lance finished his master’s thesis on the treatment of cervicogenic headaches with manual therapy. This paper was published in the peer-reviewed international recognized Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy. He has spoken both nationally and internationally on topics related physical therapy, headaches and pain relief. Lance is also a 2010 graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary. He is the planting pastor of Encompass Church in Navarre, Florida. He enjoys serving in the Navarre area through various community outreach events. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding at Navarre Beach.

Dr. Laurie Whorton PT, DPT: Dr. Laurie has specialty training to treat torticollis (tight neck) and plagiocephaly (flat head) in infants. Her passion is helping parents of newborns prevent both diagnoses, eliminating the need for cranial shaping helmet that can cost $1500-$2000. Dr. Laurie has over 28 years of experience working in pediatrics in virtually all settings and likes treating in-home where babies are more comfortable. In her spare time, Laurie enjoys gardening, going to the beach and playing with Rosie, the family dog. She is also currently taking seminary classes towards obtaining a Certificate in Church Planting.

How We Got Our Start
Since graduating with their physical therapy degrees in the early 90s, Laurie and Lance have seen many changes in the healthcare system. Some of these changes have been excellent and needed; however, it is well known that the personal aspect has changed. We have felt the pressure to see multiple people at once, decrease treatment time and the increased control by insurance companies. As a result, patients get less and less one on one time with their therapist. Often being forced to see multiple therapists during the course of treatment. This can cause confusion regarding your care and delay in recovery time.
