Dry Needling

What Is Dry Needling?

While Dry Needling may be new to you, it has been used by physical therapist worldwide to help patients decrease pain and return to normal activity level faster than with traditional physical therapy alone!   Dry Needling is a technique using very small needles to stimulate and release painful trigger points.

The results are incredibly fast and 100% drug free!  A  “dry” monofilament needle, one without medication or injection, inserted through the skin into areas of the muscle.  Preliminary research supports that dry needling improves pain control, reduces muscle tension, and normalizes dysfunctions of the motor end plates — the sites at which nerve impulses are transmitted to muscles. This can help speed up the patient’s return to activities.

All physical therapists are well-educated in anatomy and therapeutic treatment of the body. Physical therapists who perform dry needling supplement that knowledge by obtaining specific postgraduate education and training.  Lance is a certified Dry Needle Therapist (CMTPT/DN) with Myopain Seminars.  One of the original organizations offering this certification in the United States!   This certification means Lance has obtained the highest level of proficiency to help alleviate your pain!
